Privacy
The short version: this site has no cookies, no analytics and no tracking, and I don't collect personal data through it. Here's the longer version.

Who's responsible
This site is run by me, Mısra Turp, a freelancer registered in the Netherlands. You'll find my business details on the legal notice page. For anything about your data, email me at [your email address].
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic technical details (browser, time of visit) to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. I rely on legitimate interest for this (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): a website can't work without it. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Content from other sites
A few things on this site load from other services, which then receive your IP address:
- Video thumbnails, which load from YouTube (Google). Clicking a video takes you to YouTube.
- Trip maps in some travel posts, which load from Polarsteps.
- Photos in some older posts, which still load from Squarespace's image servers.
The fonts are served from this site itself, not from Google.
Getting in touch
If you email me or book a call through Calendly, I receive what you send me, such as your name, email address and message. I use it only to reply and to arrange our work, which is the basis for processing it (taking steps before a contract, or my legitimate interest in answering you). Calendly handles bookings under its own privacy policy. I keep correspondence for as long as we're in touch, and business records for as long as Dutch tax law requires.
What's stored on your device
The site remembers two small choices in your browser's local storage: light or dark mode, and whether Donkey is sitting or walking. This never leaves your device, isn't a cookie and isn't used for tracking. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Your rights
You can ask me what personal data I have about you, and ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. If you think I've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
