Tips for better LLM-cited videos

Here is a list of things to keep in mind for your next couple of videos on the brand YouTube channel.

Quick fixes:

  • Create a transcript, make sure to edit it (correct technical terms, figures, references) and upload it to YouTube.
  • Include chapters in your description.
  • Actually describe what you’re explaining in the video with a couple of paragraphs.
  • Use descriptive titles. Not “You won’t believe the results” but “Performance comparison between X and Y”.

Long term fixes:

  • Learn about your audience, what kind of videos are they looking to watch? Both in terms of topics and style.
  • Pay attention to your competitors and friends: what are other channels covering?
  • Invest in better video and audio quality, make it easier for people to watch your videos once they run into them.
  • Improve packaging to make it easier for not only machine but also your audience to understand your message from the get go.
